NAVZAD MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
The Navzad Memorial Foundation was created by Vispi and Anaheeta Engineer after the death of their son Navzad Engineer, who in 2014, lost an tiresome battle with Brain Cancer. Navzad was only 18 years old when he passed. His parents wanted to keep his memory alive and channel their experience into helping families and friends struggling with the reality of brain cancer by providing information and a platform where people could connect and share their experiences. Their aim was to create more awareness on the necessity of health and meditation alongside hospital care and they needed funds to do this.
Navzad Memorial Foundation DigiGround Work Process
As part of DigiGrounds DigiCare program (We donate 1% of our time to anyone who needs it) we created a charity website. The website would provide a place for contributors and supporters of the cause to donate and register for fundraising events, as well as provide a place for volunteers to register their interest in volunteering.
DigiGround’s Videographer visited the family and did one-to-one interviews to capture the stories and memories of those who were close to Navzad. The video was launched at the Fundraiser on 11th November, 2017 and then added to the website.
DigiGround’s content writer interviewed Navzad’s parents to gain their personal story, which was then written and added to the website. The text aimed to provide education on brain cancer and detail readers of the mission and vision of the organisation.
The site included; a shopping cart for donations and event bookings, imagery and text; as well as a contact form to capture enquiries with links to social media.
We continued to work with Navzad Memorial Foundation by providing event photography for the Fundraising Gala Dinner and donating a website for the silent auction.
