Stockroom Café were looking to create a brand-new website to showcase their services, highlight their catering menu and café and position themselves for search in search engines. They approached DigiGround for support to create a new branded website with search engine optimisation setup.
Stockroom Cafe DigiGround Work Process
DigiGround created a customised WordPress website for Stockroom Café, designed with two entry points for targeted navigation and optimised for search engine ranking. The site focusses on promoting their extensive catering menu and café service.
The café site is in an old wool store, with great historical significance. So, using this theme we styled the site with warm tones, lent from the logo’s brown hues, and carried through the sepia of the main imagery and consistent colouring in the background, footer and headers.
We then worked on the on-page SEO for the site. Researched focus keywords for each page and sub keywords and wrote text to utilise these words for search.
We then worked on off-page SEO, where we optimised each of the social pages for exact match website URLs, on Instagram and Facebook. Then, setup the Google My Business Listing profile for location searches, setup Google Analytics or tracking and reporting. Setup Search Console, verified the site, Removed Author archive pages from index. Generated a Sitemap and uploaded it to Search Console. We then used Search Console to Fetch and Render site. And finally, indexed the site for Google – submitting the sitemap to search engines, Bing and Yahoo.
We continue to provide ad-hoc website and search engine advice and support to Stockroom Café.
