About

FSHD Global is an Australian non-profit organisation that raises funds for medical research, education and awareness of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). They were started due to the chronic lack of medical funding and awareness towards this debilitating disease.

Objective

FSHD Global decided that it was time for them to update their website design to something more modern, with improved ecommerce capabilities and a user-friendly events calendar. DigiGround was approached to design and develop their new website in time for their Annual Chocolate Ball. With such a high-profile event, their website needed to be easy to use and perfect across any device.

DigiGround Work Process

DigiGround’s web designers used Adobe Creative Suite to build the client’s new design from scratch. Using their brand guidelines, our designers put together a design that was contemporary, eye-catching and highlights the client’s cause. It was a creative design that captures the attention of all visitors.

With the website’s design in place, DigiGround’s web developers added an events calendar to enable visitors and supporters to keep up with important dates. An ecommerce plugin was added to the site, allowing people to make donations directly through the website. Users can make a one-off donation or sign up to a monthly donation schedule.

After this, we adjusted the content for SEO purposes, ensuring that webpages were optimised to rank highly in search engines for keywords.

The entire website design, development and implementation process with the client was incredibly positive, resulting in an outstanding website that has delivered value to both FSHD Global and their supporters. The client was been great to work with, and we look forward to our next collaboration.
