About
The Navzad Memorial Foundation was created by Vispi and Anaheeta Engineer after the death of their son Navzad Engineer lost a tiresome battle with Brain Cancer in 2014. Navzad was only 18 years old when he passed. His parents wanted to keep his memory alive and channel their experience into helping families and friends struggling with the reality of brain cancer by providing information and a platform where people could connect and share their experiences. Their aim was to create more awareness of the necessity of health and meditation advancements, alongside hospital care. In order to achieve this, they would need to raise funds.
Objective
As part of DigiGround’s DigiCare program (we donate 1% of our time to any non-profit that needs it) we created a charity website.
The website would provide a place for contributors and supporters to donate funds and register for fundraising events, as well as provide a place for volunteers to register their interest in volunteering.
DigiGround Work Process
DigiGround’s videographer visited the family and did one-to-one interviews to capture the stories and memories of those who were close to Navzad. The video was launched at their fundraising event on the 11th of November 2017 and then were later added to the website.
DigiGround’s content writer interviewed Navzad’s parents to learn about their personal story. This was then written and added to the website. The content aimed to provide education on brain cancer and inform readers of the mission and vision of the organisation.
The website included imagery, text, a shopping cart for donations and event bookings, and a contact form to capture enquiries with links to social media.
We continue to work with Navzad Memorial Foundation by providing event photography for their annual fundraising gala dinner, donating a website to their silent auction, and conducting weekly SEO maintenance.
