In celebration of love, friendship and dogs, Puppi Lovers has now launched!
Puppi Lovers is a app for dog owners to meet other dog owners for dating, friendship or puppy play dates. It also has a built-in doggie directory that connects you to dog-friendly places and discounts on dog products and services. DigiGround has been working on the Puppi Lovers app for the past 6 months and we are very excited to finally reveal it to the world. Puppi Lovers is the brainchild of Shane Mann, the owner and founder of the Fitness 4 All gym in Parkes, NSW. Shane is well versed in the world of business and has been a part of many past and ongoing projects in both Australia and the US. Shane used to own and run a swimming pool, and during the 6 months he had off for winter, he would run travel camps of children in the US.
During his time in San Diego, Shane would stay at a dog beach that 10,000 people would visit regularly. Shane finds himself often dating people who own dogs. This was how his idea for Puppi Lovers came about. While traveling without his dog, Shane realised that it was difficult to date or be compatible with someone who has a dog. It was difficult to socialise with dog owners, as these people would always need to prioritise their dogs over holidays, socialisation, and dating.
Shane realised that dog owners are most compatible with other dog owners. However, there weren’t any dating apps in the market that fulfilled this need. So, Shane jumped on this opportunity to fill this gap by creating a dating app for dog owners.
The app was in theoretical status since 2015. Shane originally worked on the app ideation with a friend, and together they created a business plan to help get the app off the ground. It was on the 9th of June, 2020 that Shane approached DigiGround to scope and build the Puppi Lovers application.
On the 14th of February 2021, Puppi Lovers was officially launched to Australian consumers. The app is available to download for free on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
