About

Courtney & Co Apparel are an online retail store selling men’s fashion and apparel. Their popular products are men’s pure silk ties and cufflink sets, presented in a beautiful box for gifting. The client was previously using a WIX website to host and sell its products and very quickly learned that search engine optimisation was limited on a WIX site. They decided that it would be better to move to a WordPress site for better optimisation opportunities and safer payment portal options.

Objective

DigiGround worked with Courtney & Co to create a completely new and branded WordPress website. Our graphic designers started with a fresh minimalist concept, with a focus on the presentation of the product and a WooCommerce shopping cart. The client would be able to update and edit their shop at will, and it would be something that was easy for consumers to navigate and use.

DigiGround Work Process

Our graphic designers chose new imagery for the website, along with preferred layouts for the products. The website included imagery and text, a contact form to capture enquiries and links to social media to visitors to their online presence.

We developed a payment portal and setup the website for search engine optimisation. After researching which company offered the lowest commission rates amongst the many competitors, the client chose to go with a Square merchant facility for payments. It also had the added benefit of providing an offline option for payments.

Once DigiGround completed the web development project, we offered extra suggestions to Courtney & Co for how to optimise the site on social media and in search engines to get further traction.

DigiGround found the process and work for Courtney & Co an extremely enjoyable experience. They were open to suggestions on how to improve their digital presence. And when these suggestions were implemented, we made a plan to continue supporting them on their future projects.
