Are you struggling to write your weekly post for your blog? Running out of ideas is common, and it can have an impact on your business. The more a company blogs, the more traffic it gets, so the more important it is that they don’t run out of ideas. Coming up with ideas can be hard, but there are lots of places you can turn to for inspiration.
Where to find blog inspiration
Questions from clients
You probably get a lot of questions from your clients, and these questions can be a great source of inspiration for your blog. Keep track of the questions you receive, whether that be from emails, contact forms, social media or in person. You’ll notice common questions and problems, and they’re all great things to write about.
Popular topics are popular for a reason. Look for successful articles or popular search terms. Use their success as inspiration for your blog. Tools like Google Trends even give you a list of the most searched for topics. These can jump-start your creativity, and so look for gaps in their content or unanswered questions.
If you’ve been blogging for a while, you would’ve covered a lot of topics over time. Some of the topics you covered might now be outdated or in need of additional information. Have a look through your previous blogs to see if anything needs updating. Revisit the posts and add the newest studies and stats. Make sure that you cover the topic from a different angle so that you’re providing useful content to your readers.
Question and answer sites
Another way to find common questions and problems in your industry is by looking at question-and-answer websites like Yahoo! Answers and Quora. Look up an industry or type in a topic, and you’ll see a page of questions users have asked. Some of these are questions your own audience wants the answers to.
Blogging doesn’t need to be difficult. With the right source of inspiration, you’ll always find something to write about for your company’s blog. Are there any other places you turn to for inspiration? Share them with us!
