Can Businesses Use TikTok?
TikTok doesn’t have a dedicated business user option like Facebook and LinkedIn. But you can certainly create a normal TikTok profile and brand it for your business. There are three main ways businesses use TikTok:
- Create your own business profile and upload relevant videos. Just make sure that you keep your activity fresh and consistent.
- Work with TikTok influencers to spread content to a wider audience. This is a great way to reach a broader audience.
- Use TikTok’s paid advertisement options. TikTok advertising is still relatively new, and there isn’t a huge market for it like there is on YouTube. But this may change over time as TikTok becomes more popular.

Many businesses do a combination of all three. They might run their own channel while working with influencers to grow their awareness. TikTok is all about user generated content. We’ve seen many businesses work with influencers to encourage users to create content that supports their brand in some way. Young users love the full immersive experience. Rather than sit at home watching TV all day, they prefer to be involved. Find a way to encourage your target customers to create videos of themselves using your products in some way. For example, a beauty business might encourage users to film themselves using their face masks. Once you have a few people uploading these videos, others will flock to your business so they can create their own videos.
